27 Attempts to tell her story: 27 Drafts by Simone Engelen

During a high school year in the U.S. Simone Engelen was sexually abused by two individuals. Far away from home, she had no one to confide in. Later in life she began to experience panic attacks and flashbacks. She began to develop coping mechanisms involving addiction, anger and control issues. After intensive therapy, she is doing better. In 2022, she decided to go back to the U.S. with her mother to find closure. 27 Drafts is an account of that road trip. It is also a very personal and courageous book.
